New England Landscape & Architecture
If the stars, moon and sky fascinate you (like me,) then I suggest you make them yours. One thing about Maine is that we have beautiful sky! I feel privileged living in Maine as we are the first in America to actually see the sun rise because we are the most northeastern point in the country. Gazing at the sky gives me a sense of place in this big world. I often find myself sky-gazing. I look to the sky often at differentt times of day; at twilight, dawn and dusk daily. The horizon is a magical place where sky meets earth. In this collection of landscapes I wanted to capture the sky in all it's glory. I saw "Sunburst" and "December Dawn" right in my own city-backyard. The other landscapes were painted during my summer stay in Massachusetts. The others were inspired from either photographs from friends and also some were painted en plein air in Maine.
