Still Life & Flowers
A still life is always a quick study to paint from life. I find beauty in everyday objects, especially in the winter when I am snowbound at my home in Maine. Painting a still life in warm colors warms my soul and is an energetic release for me.
My favorite flowers have to be lily of the valley, wild beach roses, sunflowers, forget-me-nots and garden flowers. Even flowering weeds such as dandelions I delight in because of their bright yellow color. In this collection I have started to paint flowers as still life. I plan to paint many more still life flower paintings this spring and summer as nature offers.
